Jacob do Bandolim song lyrics

Jacob do Bandolim was a Brazilian composer and musician, born in Rio de Janeiro in 1918. Jacob has worked as a pharmacist, insurance salesman, street vendor and public notary public to support himself while being a full time musician.

 

He is well known for his virtuoso playing and for his many choro compositions like "Noites Cariocas" and "Doce de Coco", but also for his research and attempt in preserving the older choro tradition and other Brazilian music styles. He was the most influential Brazilian artist on the mandolin (bandolim, in Portuguese) and a very professional musician.He died of a heart attack in 1969.
